Snapple was truly
one of a kind, he was a sweet buck that certainly excelled in
correctness throughout. We unfortunately lost Snapple in early January.
He will certainly remain an integral part of our herd as we have 7
daughters in the herd.
Snapple's pedigree has a combination of the outstanding genetics from both the
Clovertop and Sempervirens herds. He is a beautiful buck, very similar
in type and style to his sire, Wildfire. Snapple’s dam, Sorbet was an
eye-catching doe that was very powerful yet dairy with an extremely well
attached mammary. She excelled in strength of bone, structural
correctness and body capacity (both depth and width).
We are so pleased with Snapple’s offspring, his daughters have done
exceptionally well in the show ring. The highlights are: 2002
ADGA Nationals-1st 1stU & Reserve Best Udder –SGCH
Natalie, and
2nd 2ndU –GCH Nissa, at the 2005 ADGA Nationals-1st 1st U- 2 year
old-CH Funny Cide, 1st Senior Get of Sire-SGCH
Natalie, GCH Nissa and CH
Funny Cide. His daughters also earned him the designation of PREMIER
SIRE at the 2005 ADGA National Show. In addition, they have also earned him the Premier Sire
designation at the 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006 California State Fairs.
Snapple's daughters have also excelled in
Linear Appraisal - he has had 16 daughters with 29 appraisals with a
VG88 average.
Snapple’s offspring have consistently excelled in strength of mammary
system-particularly extension of fore and height of rear. They show
definite improvements in length, stretch and dairy character. We rely on
Snapple heavily for strength in mammary, correctness over the top and
length and stretch throughout. He has proven to combine well with the
other bloodlines we've used in the herd.

We are very excited about Shamus, his full
sister is SGCH Redwood Hills F Sebastienne 11*M, 2nd/2nd U 2007 ADGA
Nationals. He comes from a long line of strong correct animals,
consistent in their strength and style. We admired his dam and her
dairiness and the other Freelance daughters in the Redwood Hill Herd.
Shamus has been a welcome addition to the herd and we have used him
heavily in combination with our other bucks. We eagerly anticipate the
arrival of his first kids in late March.

Target comes from a long and distinguished line of outstanding Purebred
Alpines. The Nixon herd has been known for its strength in general
appearance and overall structural correctness. When we were looking for
a new buck to add to the herd, Target’s pedigree stood out and gave us that combination of
strength in breed character, feet and legs, consistency in mammary
system and overall soundness that we were looking for in a new buck. We
feel the combination of Target’s family and their strengths will
combine with our herd and their strengths. Target’s first crop of kids was beautiful, two of the 3 does we
kept appraised Ec, the other a V. They
excelled in dairiness, strength of topline, soundness of feet and legs
and width in the hocks. We
look forward to freshening two of his daughters in the spring.

We lost Falcon quite a few summers ago, however his influence will be
felt and seen for many years to come in herds throughout the United
States. He is the grand and great grandson of GCH Wa-Shaw-Me Snowbird;
she appears in his pedigree 4 times. His dam, Snowgoose was a beautiful
and striking doe - extremely long, level with an absolutely beautiful
mammary system. The Falcon offspring are very stylish, showing
improvement in bone and substance, width and depth of body, smoothness
of blending and correctness in front end assembly. His daughters tend to mature slowly, showing improvements in
udder attachments, both fore and rear, and teat size and placement. He
has many GCH daughters, and sons, and several others with milking legs,
one of his most recognizable sons is ++*B Sweet Dreams Goldenboy. We look forward to reintroducing his genetics back into our
herd.

“Reni” was definitely one of a kind, strong willed and structurally
correct - just like his offspring. He was tall, sharp, dairy, and
angular. Renaissance had been used extensively in our herd, on the basis
of his dam's extremely correct body type and strength of mammary system.
His offspring have been stylish, upstanding, and structurally correct
with extremely strong mammary systems and nearly ideal teats and
placement. His daughters have shown improvements over their dams in both
body and mammary. Renaissance has many GCH offspring and many more with
CH legs.

Monarchos is a beautiful buck that excels in dairy character and strength
over the top. He is upstanding, strong, straight over the top and
correct in the feet and legs. Monarchos is similar to his sire in
openness of ribbing and dairy qualities. The Monarchos offspring we
retained as well as offspring in other herds excel in correctness of
feet and legs, length of body, and dairy type. His daughters have been
very dairy, with beautiful strength of rear udder and correctness in
general appearance. His sister, Poppy easily finished her
championship and appraised EX92 this year. Monarchos now resides in the
La Ferme du Bonheur herd of Higginsville MO.

Bid’s offspring have consistently shown improvements in strength of
udder attachment, size,
scale, substance of bone and style. We have 2 permanent champion
daughters in our herd, SGCH Silver Charm EX93 and
CH Kolya EX90. He has at least 6 GCH/CH daughters, and many other with CH/GCH
legs. His full sisters were: GCH Sweet Dreams R. Unbridled EX90 and
Sweet Dreams R. Casual Lies (7th Yearling milker - 1993 ADGA Nat'l.
Show), also full brothers to +*B Sweet Dreams R. Color Scheme, and ++*B
Willow Run Williamsburgh. As
many of you remember, Colors excelled in almost every category on the
scorecard, but she knocked everyone away with her nearly ideal mammary
system. She was also very dairy and stood out for her overall depth and
strength throughout, as do the Spectacular Bid daughters.
